Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You must not use the Service if you are barred under applicable law or previously removed by us.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use. We may require identity verification and may suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be automated, duplicated, impersonating others, or created in bad faith.

Ruhi is a space for spiritual reflection, learning, and respectful community. You agree not to:

• Post nudity, sexually explicit content, or immodest imagery.
• Post content that attacks, defames, or incites hatred toward any prophet, sahaba, ahlul bayt, scholar, madhab, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, or nationality.
• Promote violence, terrorism, self-harm, or illegal activity.
• Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, dox, or impersonate any person.
• Post misinformation, fabricated ahadith, or misattributed scripture.
• Spam, phish, distribute malware, or scrape the Service without written permission.
• Circumvent moderation, rate-limits, or security controls.
• Use the Service to compete with Ruhi or to build a similar product.

We use automated systems (including AI moderation) and human review to enforce these rules. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

By creating an account you agree to this End User Licence Agreement (EULA) and accept that there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Ruhi.

• Every post, comment, profile and message can be flagged using the “Report” control shown on it.
• Every member can block any other member. Blocking is instant and mutual for visibility: the blocked person’s posts, comments, messages and profile disappear from your app immediately, and they can no longer contact you.
• Every report and block is sent to our moderation team as an alert and is reviewed within 24 hours. Content found to be objectionable is removed and the responsible account is suspended or terminated.
• You can review and undo blocks any time in Settings → Blocked people.

Accounts that repeatedly post objectionable content or abuse other members are permanently removed without refund.

You retain ownership of content you post (“User Content”). By posting, you grant Ruhi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), create derivative works from, publish, publicly perform and display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating, developing, and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the content, except to the extent it has been shared with others who have not deleted it, or where retention is required by law.

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

All Ruhi trademarks, logos, designs, software, and curated content are owned by Ruhi or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Quranic verses, ahadith, du'as, and scholarly writings are presented for personal reflection and study. Translations and interpretations reflect the cited translators and scholars and are not fatawa. For religious rulings, consult a qualified scholar you trust.

Ruhi may show ads and paid promotions. Advertisers must comply with our ad policies. If you run ads or purchase paid features, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method and agree to any additional purchase or advertiser terms presented at checkout. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., authentication providers, map providers, video hosts). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Ruhi is not responsible for third-party content or practices.

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including licenses granted to Ruhi, disclaimers, indemnities, and limitations of liability.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. RUHI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT USER CONTENT OR SCHOLARLY MATERIAL WILL BE FREE FROM ERROR.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUHI AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ruhi from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ruhi is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall first be pursued through good-faith informal negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration, and you and Ruhi each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice within the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
