This Privacy Policy explains how Ruhi collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our Service. By using Ruhi you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

Information we collect

Account data: name, email, password (hashed), profile info, spiritual guide preference.
Content: posts, comments, reactions, journals, dreams, saved items.
Device & usage: device model, OS, app version, IP, coarse location, crash logs, interaction events.
Location (optional): precise location when you use prayer times or qibla — processed on-device and only sent to compute results.
Cookies & similar tech: for session, preferences, and analytics.

How we use information

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
Personalize your feed, guide, du'as, and reminders.
Moderate content and enforce our Community Guidelines (including AI moderation).
Communicate with you about updates, security, and support.
Serve and measure advertising (aggregated / pseudonymous).
Comply with law and protect users from abuse.

How we share information

We share information with service providers (hosting, analytics, moderation, payments), with other users based on your privacy settings, and with authorities when legally required. We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices & rights

Access, correct, export, or delete your data from Settings, or by emailing support@ruhi.au. To delete your account entirely, see Delete your account.
Set your profile to private, and control who sees each post.
Opt out of non-essential notifications.
Depending on your region (EEA/UK/California/etc.), you may have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA.

Data retention & security

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is 100% secure — please help us by using a strong password and keeping your device updated.

Children

Ruhi is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

Changes

We may update this Policy. If changes are material we will notify you within the Service.
